I forgive thy pharaoh

black feline seduce,

I carry the stone

blood trickles down spine

creating a vine,

it wasn't meant to be.

.....levels below

I gaze above,

Queen of the sun

rays that blind

red on a wall,

drain my heart,

but leave my soul.

Maciej Walkowiak is a first-generation immigrant, born and raised in Poland. He moved to New York at the age of thirteen and currently lives on Long Island. He is a poet, anarchist as well as an activist in his community. His favorite poets include W.H. Auden, William Wordsworth, and Emily Dickinson. He lives with his eleven-year-old Shih Tzu named Maxx.
