A pallid mask of fear and fright

For thieves to buy and sell


I am not my body, but I am not alone

Stitched inside this borrowed skin

This sleeve of flesh and bone


I am not my body, my body is not I

They crawl inside, grinning as

Jessica Bowers is a college freshman living in Claxton, Georgia. She plans to start college in the fall, majoring in biology and minoring in creative writing. Her inspirations are Mary Shelley, Aldous Huxley, and of course, Stephen King. Writing has become a big part of her and she wishes to keep it alive in her adult life.
