his ink getting

a little thin he

spreads his prayers

a little too widely

as if they were the

pale plum thighs he

wants to press him

self into like some

one trying to get

into pants 5 sizes

too small. He dreams

of a hair shirt, begs

hair of each woman

who's written a

poem he sends a

photo of himself

with the Pope. He

holds up a cross

as if women were

vampires, dreams

of their bite,

thinks of them

touching his

rosary, asks

for a hair from

there and down

there. He wants

a life saver that's

been licked by

those lips
